I Got Some Groceries, Some Peanut Butter to Last a Couple of Days

Jerry returned home from his dad's funeral service late Wednesday night. It was a Catholic funeral mass complete with a police escort and the Marine Corps Honor Guard. Art would have liked how it was done.

The next morning, we found out that hurricane Ike took a turn towards Houston. I cancelled our evacuation plans, went grocery shopping for provisions, and now we are waiting for whatever is next. Jerry's Coast Guard Unit, Sector Corpus Christi, has been busy with helping out the Houston area which is in the path of Ike. I can't stand watching the news and weather channels right now. It puts my stomach in knots. Plus, I find myself getting mad at the people that didn't evacuate. Don't you think they would have figured this out by now????
