I am near the end of the painted knitted yarn blanks and am a bit concerned about the pi shawl's edging. The original pattern has a huge elaborate knitted on lace edging. I don't think I have enough yarn to make it as written. There are over 500 stitches in the last round. Yikes! I dug through my books and found out that Myrna Stahman has a bunch of sawtooth edgings for her Faroese (sp?) shawls. I fiddled around and made up my own compact version. Thanks Myrna for the inspiration.
