Survived the Dolly

Sorry about the little break in posting. We had a little storm action last week. Nothing terrible, just a lot of rain and wind. We hunkered down with our backpacks ready for evacuation and now I know how to prepare for a storm.

This is a skein that I spun up prior to the storm. I put it in a rubbermaid container, wrapped it in a black trash bag and let the heat of Corpus do it's thing. A couple of days later and the dye was almost completely exhausted. I did put it in the microwave for a quick spin, just to make sure. There you have it, stormy sky pink.

Now this is a photo of all of the house remotes that have been missing since we left Novato. Jerry has been heavily pouting and I have been going looney looking through every nook and cranny for the last few weeks. This morning I decided to peek in an old X-Box box we have, just to make sure that no stone was left unturned. We have not used the X-Box system in over two years because it is too stimulating for Will and causes some anger. Anyheck, look what was packed in there!!!!!! I am a lucky gurl. Jerry was so thrilled with my discovery that he said to go treat myself to some fiber that I've been dreaming about. I promptly ordered some yummy corriedale pencil roving in dyed and undyed states. Things are looking up.
