Yesterday, Katherine pointed out some birds on the one of the vacant buildings on this base. She told me she saw some turkeys. So I act all enthusiastic for her and then I turn my head and look and there's a couple of turkey vultures up there. They are freaking huge! And sort of creepy. And they are just like the ones in cartoons!
And then there's the vermin. Neighbor Jolee had some mice move in while she was out of town last summer. I thought it would be funny to give a mouse achievement chart so that she could note the progress of her mouse catchings. Twisted, I know. Then the weather changed and we started getting little visitors in the garage. I ended up getting the chart back and now it is color coded:
Black for Woolard mice.
Turquoise for the Achenbach mice
(Oh and the kids want to know what we get when the chart gets completed, like a prize -maybe a cat????)

Edit: I just found out that there are a couple of Lord of the Rings guys in this ukulele orchestra.

hey gurl-how funny-a post on vermin. i was going to post about my vermin problem as it is really gross but embarrassing. been trying to decide whether to do it or not. i may have an awful chore ahead of me this weekend. ugh!
