Remember that Swan Lake Mystery Stole that I was so angry about? Well, I took a deep breath and frogged the whole thing. I went through a bunch of my pattern books and decided on Crest O' the Wave Pattern. It's from the Northernmost Shetland Island of Unst (maybe in honor Darla's heritage). I like the wavelike structure, kind of like Old Shale. It's an easy pattern to remember and right now I need a no brainer.
I am using these old needles I dug up. I bought them from a yarn shop in Maryland known for it's cranky old owner that verbally assaulted her staff and customers. The shop was really old with a thick layer of dust. The display cases had very dated acrylic fashions and afghans. I wish I could go there one more time and buy more of these Inox needles. I'm sure they are still sold but I never see them in stores. They have a great point and are nice and slick for lace work. I plan on checking out Addi's lace needles one of these days. I love knitting lace.
Here is my completed Irish Hiking Scarf. I just need to block it and send it off.

Hey Soxchik!
I'm a big Inox fan myself. Inox needles can be had at Web-Sters in Ashland, Oregon. You can order from their web site (www.yarnatwebsters.com). Service is quick and fabulous. Or, better yet, take a trip to Ashland! I go fairly frequently and always spend a lot of time at this store, which is across the street from the Shakespeare Festival.
