Birthday Girlies

Yesterday, the twins turned twelve. It was a monumental birthday.






Steph got pierced.
























Katherine did too.










Then we tried to do some birthday henna tattoos.



The applicator kept clogging and the paste didn't cure properly. But we had a good time trying. I ended up ordering a better mehndi kit from eBay last night for the next time we get the urge.


I never would have thought from their crazy beginnings (you know my wild Governors Island ferry terminal car birth story), countless developmental assessments, doctors visits, and school IEP meetings that Kath and Steph would become these two terrific preteens. I love these girls so much! More later, there's a pajama party coming.
