Gorgonian Completed

While the kids were bouncing off the walls this week, I plodded on with the gorgonian. It was smooth sailing, except for when you get to the bind off or cast on rows (which involve an insane amount of counting and stitch markers). When it was done I decided that the color was lacking. It was too weak and blah. So a dip into a dyepot at 9:30 last night seemed like the right thing to do.

I am so glad I did the dyepot thing. It is now this rich earthy brown that I am loving. It doesn't remind me of a Curly Wurly anymore. Now I am thinking Tree of Life. Don't you see the roots and branches working together and entangling into a mass? Too poetic maybe?

It did get heckled by Jerry. He said how could I bother making a shawl with a bunch of holes in it it? He wondered what was the point? How could one stay warm in a thing like that? AND I WAS READY TO SMACK HIM!!!!!!! Guys can really drive me nuts. And the then he wanted to know why I was angry. Sheez!

Suebee, it looks great! The next time that Jerry mentions it, ask him how he stays warm in his shirt since it has four very large holes in it.
