Mother's Day 2010

A belated Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms out there. Jerry and the kids did their best to let me goof off the whole day, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Here are some things that I have been working on over the last couple of weeks:

I finished my Aunt Bea apron and did a little photo shoot. Here's me, trying to look domestic. Not buying it, huh?

Okay, how about some hot appetizers?

Remember my dye experiment from left over party streamers?

Here is how it spun up. Pretty good results from a pile of tattered crepe paper. I think it needs to become another scroll lace scarf.

I am still working on my retro rib socks.

I decided to help Jerry out with picking out a Mother's Day gift. After browsing around on Etsy (a very dangerous place), I found this lovely lady. Actually it's a corriedale fleece, from a sheep named Petunia. Isn't she stunning?

Here is a close up of her locks. I can't wait to play with the hand cards , and maybe the drum carder. This should keep me busy for a few months. Good times, good times!

Enjoy processing and spinning Petunia, I find her and the other Corriedales an easy and relaxing spin.
