Preteen Torture Devices

It is also known as fashion footwear. And they came with free blisters. That was the first lesson learned this year. I think Kath and Steph will never make fun of my less than attractive comfortable shoe collection again. All hail Simple, Born, and Birkenstocks!

School started and boy did my kids ever need it. We seemed to have lost all sense of structure over the summer. I now have two spec ed buses coming and going in the morning and afternoon. I know I should be napping but the dead calm of the morning is going to take a little getting used to. I keep waiting for a teacher to call and tell me about a meltdown or something. Give me a couple of weeks and I will get used to this. I know I will eat my words.

Here is one of the latest socks. The pattern is called Conwy from Nancy Bush's Knitting on the Road. It is a very easy to remember mini cable pattern. The yarn is Knitpicks Bare merino in a fingering weight.

Here is the progress of it's mate. They are a pleasure to knit.

That's all for now! Laters.

I wish I had your sock-knitting stamina. I'm already getting distracted from Monkey, and I'm only down to the heel on the first sock! They are very pretty though.
