Dye Weekend

It was a dye everything weekend. Saturday, I got my hair highlighted (and lowlighted) and cut. It was way past due and much needed. It takes me forever to get the courage to get sheared, but I feel so much better afterwards. Dentists and hairstylists do that to me (I think it's a close up to the face thing that weirds me out).

I needed to start a new pair of socks. I mixed up these colors that are a range of dark teal to lime green (DOS 2).

There were some long sock blanks in my soak solution. I wanted to try a big gradual progression instead of the usual mini stripes.

I like how it turned out. The lime will be the cuff part. These blanks were pretty long so they might end up becoming knee socks.

The other socks I was working on last week( the ones with the chubbier yarn) are done. They look like distant relatives to this new project. Well, at least I'm consistant.

Here's my weekend Youtube. It's Sleepy Maggie performed by Mary Jane Lamond with Ashley MacIssac tearing up the fiddle. I love Mary Jane's Gaelic warbling voice. Who knows what the heck she's singing, it sounds beautiful.
